Freebird Posted June 10, 2013 #1 Posted June 10, 2013 OK folks. Now that Maintenance Day is behind me, it's time to start putting more attention on the International Rally. Our team is doing a fantastic job putting this one together and you sure don't want to miss it. Many of you have made hotel and camping reservations but far fewer have actually registered for the rally. PLEASE do so at your earliest convenience. Pre-Registration not only helps us to get a better count of how many people to expect so that the food service and etc. can be confirmed but also saves you a little money over waiting to register when you get there. Here is the thread with registration instructions. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72568
Red1 Posted June 10, 2013 #3 Posted June 10, 2013 Is it possible to send a mass e-mail to all the VR members? Or would that be a ton of work? I know I get a Happy Birthday e-mail from VR, so I assume that a message could be sent to everyone. Something like - "if you are planning to attend the Galena rally and/or have made camping or hotel reservations - please click here to complete the registration form and send in your money NOW. " I say this because I have been very busy and not been on this site or the Facebook age for quite a time and had almost forgotten I'd made the reservations. And was completely unaware that I needed to register. Only by chance did I go to the FB page and see the registration post. I can't be the only guy with too many irons in the fire. I know putting these things together is a lot of work:bang head: and remembering to complete the form is a small thing that we should do to make it a little easier for the planners. And sending a reminder e-mail is a bit like hand-holding - something I deplore. Just a thought.
