DragonRider Posted June 9, 2013 #1 Posted June 9, 2013 I finally went back to work last Monday, and everything was pretty good for the first couple of days. On Wed. it got really hard to walk without pain, so I left early. I had been working ot those first 2 days, but left early on the 3rd day. On Thur. and Fri. after just a couple of hours it got really bad and had to medicate to get through the day, the weekend was worse the knee is more painful now than it was immediately after surgery. So looks like I have to go back to the Dr. tomorrow if I can get an appt. and see whats going on, the pain is even worse than it was before the surgery. I don't believe I did anything wrong to hurt it again, but I guess anything is possible. So I haven't been on any of my bikes for any kind of ride since Apr. 2, that was the last day I worked. I am hoping they don't have to cut on it anymore. I think my job might be jeopardy if I have to lay out any more. Top it off my back is acting up again and I am going in for another injection in my back on Tues. Anybody else ever have any problems after having meniscus surgery?
pmelah Posted June 9, 2013 #2 Posted June 9, 2013 never had it so dont know what to say other than the job jeopardy part i know that feeling well i hope you get your appt. and you get better fast ill be sending prayers for ya
SteveW Posted June 9, 2013 #3 Posted June 9, 2013 Hang in there my knees had good and bad days after surgery for a few months. If you get a brake sit and elevate it and only use ice. Heat feels good but does not work. Check your temp. Make sure you have no fever. Steve

Semi-retired Posted June 11, 2013 #7 Posted June 11, 2013 = more painful now than it was immediately after surgery. [ Anybody else ever have any problems after having meniscus surgery? Yes, buddy Lewis.........I did have the surgery. Like your friend Steve says: ice, more ice..........then some MORE ice. Just keep icing and put your leg in whatever position feels good; up, down, walking, still. Be gentle with it......give it TIME and ICE. (am I sounding boring yet?? :-) Good luck, pal. Mike
