I have a 07 RSTD. would like to replace horn with a 139db electric air horn. question I have two horns on the bike so do I need to replace both horns to make them work? I tried changing one horn (by the right exhaust and it's not loud at all. the horn is very loud if I connect to a battery by it self but not on the bike.

I'd say most have replaced the right horn with the Stebel or similar.

Need to add a bracket, like Carbon One's or you can buy and mod one from Lowes for $2. But would suggest his harness.

And, then unplug (and can remove) the one inside the left lower cowling.

If you have the loud one on the right, you really cannot hear the stock one. It would only serve to steal juice from the little blasterd.:whistling:

Yes you can replace only one. BUT you need to use a realy circuit and connect the horn that way. Carbon one I think makes a easy hook up harness or you can make one yourself if your handy. You need to remember that the horn circuit sort of work azz backwards. The switch on the handlebar connects the ground not the power. The OEM wires will not support the current draw of the bad boy/stebel type horns. Therfore you run a new power wire (i think 14ga) for horn power. Do a search on the second gen tech something like air horn or stebel, bad boy and you should come up with info on how to do it. Start here with a look see.
