Need help on a VIN number.

I've got an 84 harley I'm trying to find out what engine it has. Is there a site I can search the vin number on?

1984 Big Block Harley should be a 80" Evolution engine. Although it is said that a few could have been the end production Shovelheads. Look at web site on H D's the engines look a lot different.

I'm almost 100% sure it's a Shovel, I need to make sure cause it leaks oil (go fugure) and I need to get the right gaskets for it.

Shovel is likley to be more pron to oil issues , the Evo not so much. Check V-Twin form.com or bigboyzheadporting.com. Have your engine number handy:detective:
