Road Star Kickstand For Lowered RSV

I posted this question in the Watering Hole in hopes that higher traffic would help me get an answer, but the experts are here. I've seen some recommendations to use a Road Star kickstand on RSVs that have been lowered. I was ready to pull the trigger on one, but then I realized that they don't have the extension on the side like the RSV stands do. If I change out the stand am I going to have problems getting the new one down??? Here's a pic of my stand for reference. Thanks!!

Not familiar with the difference, but a little weld and re-chrome would solve the problem.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a welder or re-chroming equipment.

Not sure if the Royal Star has the boot extension or not..

 

I have only lowered the front so haven't modified my kickstand yet..
