elmicko Posted June 4, 2013 #1 Posted June 4, 2013 I posted this question in the Watering Hole in hopes that higher traffic would help me get an answer, but the experts are here. I've seen some recommendations to use a Road Star kickstand on RSVs that have been lowered. I was ready to pull the trigger on one, but then I realized that they don't have the extension on the side like the RSV stands do. If I change out the stand am I going to have problems getting the new one down??? Here's a pic of my stand for reference. Thanks!! http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b303/elmicko2002/20130604_183309_zpsffc478aa.jpg
Sylvester Posted June 4, 2013 #2 Posted June 4, 2013 Not familiar with the difference, but a little weld and re-chrome would solve the problem.

Globewalker Posted June 5, 2013 #4 Posted June 5, 2013 This old post makes reference to using an old ROYAL Star kick stand (not Road Star). http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=34038 Not sure if the Royal Star has the boot extension or not.. I have only lowered the front so haven't modified my kickstand yet..
