So I put some cool lights in the tail light of my 84. They look great and really fill the lens. Problem now is that I have an error reading on the dash. I read somewhere about jumpering the CMU but don't have a clue where that is and how to do it.. Can someone explain in laymans terms how to get this error to disappear..? Could adding a resister somewhere make the difference?

Go to search box and drop down to google search and put in "jumper CMU" and click on www.venturerider.org and then go.

I jumpered the tailight and brake light on my 89 and it works OK.

:sign yeah that::sign yeah that:

You have to jumper both the tail and brake light circuit if you go LED tail lights.

As long as you are in there, if you have any intention of ever converting the headlight to HID (highly recommended) then just jumper all of the reed switches.
