bill in mn Posted June 3, 2013 #1 Posted June 3, 2013 Just turned 30,000 miles on my 85 royal . I bought this 1 1/2 yrs ago with 24,000 rounds on the clock .Now that it's finally broke in I'm hoping to run it more this summer, if it ever warms up.Went today with my friend who just picked up a 02 goldwing and with all the bells & whistles that has I think reverse is the best of all. that is a nice bike and now that I have a touring bike and know what to look for they are sure fun to ride.
Peder_y2k Posted June 3, 2013 #2 Posted June 3, 2013 Did you do the 26,000 mile valve adjust? If not, get busy and get it done. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '83,88
pmelah Posted June 3, 2013 #3 Posted June 3, 2013 i thought it was just getting broke in at 75 k you still got a ways to go 6k in 1 1/2 not bad
Venturous Randy Posted June 3, 2013 #5 Posted June 3, 2013 My 83 has a little over 160,000 miles and runs great. You are averaging slightly over 1,000 miles per year. I have been known to do more than that over a long weekend. RandyA
