stardbog Posted February 14, 2008 #1 Posted February 14, 2008 Surfing on net bump into this product. Looks very interesting. City of Chicago already has 250 intersecions covered with those Cameras. Each time is $350.00, and is going strait to City budget. No tickets, or driving record ruined, just more money for BS. Works as well with those photo speed trap cameras Well This Looks as a cure: http://www.spytown.com/phsprephrafl.html
McBrush Posted February 14, 2008 #2 Posted February 14, 2008 As an alternative and to save even more money, one could just SLOW DOWN and drive the speed limit and not run red lights. I've never had to pay anything for not breaking the law...
loehring Posted February 14, 2008 #3 Posted February 14, 2008 Running a red on a scoot is just plain stupid but what concerns me is the cagers that may take something like this as a free pass. Just one more reason to wait that extra second before you go on the change to green.
dray Posted February 14, 2008 #4 Posted February 14, 2008 most places that use the cameras have already made it illegal to use the sprays that block them and if caught the fines are not worth the savings of paying the ticket for running the red light in the first place
mraf Posted February 14, 2008 #6 Posted February 14, 2008 Yeah, but whats your point. Sometimes those red light cameras get ya when the flow of traffic says that there is nothing else you can do but go. If this big brother thing keeps going pretty soon there will be a automatic ticket maker that comes with your car! Spray away, I say. If they were really serious about detering crime at red lights bring back "citizen arrest" . It worked for Gomer. LOL:rotfl::rotfl:
Jethroish Posted February 14, 2008 #7 Posted February 14, 2008 They did an episode of MythBusters about this stuff. It failed on their show.
Snarley Bill Posted February 14, 2008 #8 Posted February 14, 2008 i love them , i pay big brother to protect me ,and it makes me feel great when someone gets a ticket. i have this thing about some ahole sticking me to the front of his car and taking me down the road side ways because he thinks he's above the law. i know exactly how they work, and are timed. if you get a ticket you more than deserve it. i stopped at a stop light one morning and had plenty of time to do so ,and some self centered dickhead blew by me through the red light and lit up the intersection with flashes taking his pic.i thought about following him and telling him hey scmuck ya got a ticket. good for big brother. :clap2::clap2:snarley bill ps. good thing i ain't a cop. i'd meet my monthly qouta dailey.
stardbog Posted February 14, 2008 Author #9 Posted February 14, 2008 I'm Not driving thru red.... no way. As mraf said sometime you get stuck in middle of intersection cuz some idiot decide to make right turn as sun he pass intersection. .... He's gonna drive away and I Gonna get picture in mail... Thats not right either... ...just tell me, yuo guys above ALWAYS Ride within posted speed limit :rotf:
pegscraper Posted February 15, 2008 #10 Posted February 15, 2008 I'd use it for the sole sake of thwarting Big Brother. I don't purposefully run a red light, but I don't want any automated tickets either. If I break a law, then talk to me face to face. Big Brother is getting all too real. TV screens in banks, and I'm sure there are the pinhole cameras to go with them, this stuff is not needed and not wanted. Those who haven't read the book "1984" need to do so.
SaltyDawg Posted February 15, 2008 #11 Posted February 15, 2008 Saw a special on Myth Busters that tried every kind of way to beat those cameras including this spray and it didn't even come close to blocking it.
Snarley Bill Posted February 15, 2008 #12 Posted February 15, 2008 i'm still 100% for the cameras at stoplights. first time should be a thousand dollar fine ,second time you lose your license for a year. every stoplight should have one. like to see alot more people get tickets .maybe some of the jerks that break the law and take mine and others life in there hands would slow down and drive instead of talking on the phone, eating, playing with the rug rats, and on and on and on. i'm tired of having to risk my life every time i get in my car or ride my bike, and no i don't break the law unless it is a very rare mistake.if i do and get caught i expect to get a ticket. i haven't had a ticket in 45 years.

Guest ReinyRooster Posted February 15, 2008 #18 Posted February 15, 2008 What some of you are forgetting here is that the only way he camera takes your picture is if the light was already RED when you passed the stop line.....so the excuse of traffic causing you to be stuck in the interesection, or whatever that excuse was, doesn't wash. The light was red BEFORE you entered the intersection and so the camera took your picture. That deserves the ticket!

The light was red BEFORE you entered the intersection and so the camera took your picture. That deserves the ticket! thats right.and it gets two pictures one coming into the intersection and one of the rear as you leave.that way if you stop on the other side of the white line it won't count cuz they did'nt get 2 pictures which means you stopped.i sit at one of these lights every morning and have timed it and figured out how they work.it so happens the one i sit at has had several fatal accidents do to people running the light.i have had several close calls .i have no sympathy what so ever for people who break the law and infringe on my rights, and well being. there is no arguement here. most of the people i know who are against the cameras are the biggest offenders. any one running a red light knowingly, that kills someone should be tried for murder.plain and simple. snarley bill
MasterGuns Posted February 15, 2008 #20 Posted February 15, 2008 This may not be new news but just heard that somewhere out west the City Council had all the red light cameras disconnected. Too many rear end collisions.
Snarley Bill Posted February 15, 2008 #21 Posted February 15, 2008 This may not be new news but just heard that somewhere out west the City Council had all the red light cameras disconnected. Too many rear end collisions. i can believe that. also a good deterent for tailgators. i hate tailgators.
mraf Posted February 15, 2008 #22 Posted February 15, 2008 i can believe that. also a good deterent for tailgators. i hate tailgators. Is there anyone your not hating today?:rotfl: We need a" I hate" list started. This should be interesting? 1. red light runners 2. tailgaters {not to be confused with football tailgaters} 3. Snarley Bill Posted February 15, 2008 #24 Posted February 15, 2008 12. The MP that wrote me a speeding violation for 15 KPH in a 10 KPH. Like getting ticketed for 9 mph in a 6 mph. ya know i've had to put up with idiots infringing on my rights my whole life, and after awhile it gets awful old. if you ask anyone who knows me i would do anything for anybody. i'm always curteous toward others, i abide by the law to the best of my abilities. would give any one the shirt off my back. fought for my country, and try to maintain a resonable facimile of whats right and wrong. i don't lie cheat or steal, in other words i try to be what i was put here to be, a good decent human being. i expect others to treat me with the same respect. thats not asking for alot. it just don't happen. people are to selfish, greedy, and self centered to worry about me when i'm out there riding my bike, or driving my car, or any where i go where everyone is in the fast lane, and it is getting worst everyday.i have worked hard my whole life to get my wife and i set where we could enjoy the golden years and the few good ones i have left are not going to be ruined by a bunch of derelects that don't care about anyone but theirself. now if people can't accept that i don't really care. bill
awsmsrv Posted February 15, 2008 #25 Posted February 15, 2008 Hey Bill, You should learn how to better express yourself, say what you really mean. Stop sugar-coating everything. LOL Anyway, I agree with you 100%. I respect you for having the gumption to say it. More of us should be so outspoken. Hope to meet you someday. Take care.
