BEER30 Posted June 2, 2013 #1 Posted June 2, 2013 Any suggestions for best route? After MD, plans are to go to Bar Harbor ME. Unfortunately, we are not on the scoot now. We are now 65' long, 23 tons and 12'8" High! EZ-Pass is supposed to be on the way, but still would like to avoid tolls as much as possible. Scoot will be ( I hate to say it) trailered, however will be our primary transportation when we park the big rig. Any low clearance, weighted bridges or other hazards that anyone knows about would be deeply appreciated. This is not an Eck question about gravel roads, nor Big Brown UPS truck racing. Not picking on Eck, as he's Welcome to come sip on a cold one and shoot billiards anytime. BEER30
jonesy Posted June 2, 2013 #2 Posted June 2, 2013 Can't help with roads with that rig so that you can have easy passage. Wouldn't a big rig or rv site help you? Can tell you to stop by a Maine travel center, they have a booklet called RideMaine that has a lot on riding the roads of Maine for us bikers. They have a web site called www.ridemaine.net could be helpful.

After the International last year we were going to make that trip to Bar Harbor and I had routing loaded into my GPS, yesterday I deleted all that info to make room for this years journey's. I'll see if I can recover any of the data.
