pmelah Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) The blue relay is the side stand relay. This one has a blue base due to it being different from the other relays in bike. The contact on this relays contact opens when coil is energized. All other relays on bike the contact closes when coil is energized If you remove this relay, it is bypassing side stand safety functions, you may be able to put bike in gear with stand down & not kill motor. Gary yes i can put the stand down in gear and it does not kill the engine with the relay back in i have no spark pull the relay i get spark but the tip over switch has to be unplugged to with the tip over switch plugged in i still get no spark i played with it many ways to figure out and make sure of the problem its a weird problem or just maybe its age and every thing held together till now scratch that the side stand is now working i can still kill the bike putting the side stand down now not sure what why but after the rain storm from Tropical Storm Andrea i went to the store put the stand down in 1st gear and all went dead Edited June 7, 2013 by pmelah
KIC Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Okay....I take it that the tip over switch is right behind the light inside or held by a rubber encased thingy. Both bikes had it so I am sending both to you . Hopefully one works. Check both snd If ghe second one is good too just hang on to it and pass it on forward to someone else
