Is there a reason these wouldn't work good on a 1st Gen?? My next question. How much light output would you get?? I just thought they looked good. Doing the Wally world things now.

A 5 Watt peanut bulb is very little light, that would make these for show, not for useful light.

BUT if they meant to say a 50 watt bulb, that would be different.

Hey Jeff...if those puppies draw 10W, they must be superbright (no pun intended)!! If you get them, let us know how they work out. Would you be looking at the 20deg beam configuration?

That was my thoughts. Too little light output but they sure look good. Isn't this bulb the one they make in several sizes? What happens if you put a 35w in? Burns up socket??

I have a pair of the LED lights Jeff shows and they're pretty bright. They were on the bike when I bought it so left them on since they lighted up good. They're not a long range penetrating driving type but more of a wider spreading beam. I like them cause they light up both sides of the road well. Also I would say the lights reach is about the same as a normal low beam.

Just keep in mind those LED lights are not DOT approved as frontal road lights and can get you a ticket.

I am not sure that a "peanut bulb" and a H3 are the same thing, I think you are thinking of the 35W H3 style bulb that is used in most lighting. I have never heard of the H3 referred to as a "peanut bulb". The "peanut bulb" is normally used to refer to the 194 type bulb like what is in the instrument panel lighting.
