Hey All! Name is Randy, Recently moved from Ohio to Charleston SC.:cool10: I am having a slight carb cough issue(only at low RPMS). I do have K&N filters and slip ons. This seemed to start after sitting in the garage all winter, i ran multiple bottles of seafoam through. I have to pull choke to get it started and rev it a but til warm. The sea foam tend to help a bit. I do know coughing means it may be lean. Just dont want to ruin the motor. Should I have carbs re-built? Any help is much appreciated!

Have you synched the carbs? If you do not have a carb synch come by and I will help you with it or I can come by if you do not want to run it. The pilot jets may be clogged and they are hard to unclog. You may need to let the seafoam set in the carbs for awhile also.

Before you rebuild give them a good cleaning.

Where are you in Charleston?

I am in Summerville. I do not have a carb sync. Don't think it's ever been done.

Got it going and had a good visit, I did have to call in a tech assist from Rusty (Beau-Kat) and after talking to him we discovered one of the carb boots was not tightened down after that it synched up real easy and Randy was off. Waiting on a trip report to see if that took care of his issues.

I really liked the way he has customized his midnight it looks really sharp.
