Daitan Posted May 25, 2013 #1 Posted May 25, 2013 I have seen some pictures of what some have done to their 1st Gens. Replacing and modifying the side control panels. What material did you use for that? I am looking to do some cosmetic work, and minor fabrication. This would be for the top of the sides, where the radio sits and the air control for the suspension. Thanks
dingy Posted May 25, 2013 #2 Posted May 25, 2013 I used a piece of lexan to rework the radio opening. Gary
Black wing Posted May 25, 2013 #3 Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) i chopped out the original radio and took the amp out of the fairing, used the stock remover for the radio for easy access. and installed a marine plate its very clean when closed and does an awesome job keeping the rain off the deck. i also ran an antenna for the XM onto the trunk. used some textured black plastic to fill the voids. only material used was black textured plastic and Norton plastic epoxy Edited May 25, 2013 by Black wing
