pmelah Posted May 25, 2013 #1 Posted May 25, 2013 ok here is what i got or get and i dont know if im doing this right i check my leads from the plu to the tci to # 1 2 3 4 coil red lead to power # 1 pin and black lead to pin 2 and get a reading of 22.4 ohms on 200k setting black lead on pin 3 reads 24.2 pin 6 29.6 pin 7 22.7 i get the same readings with red lead on pin 1 and black lead to each plug boot cap can some one tell me what im doing and if it wrong because i cant get any of my coils to read 2.7 ohs on any setting

bongobobny Posted May 25, 2013 #3 Posted May 25, 2013 Are you disconnecting the coils from the wiring harness? Is the battery in your meter fresh? I seem to remember something about the test procedure using an old analog meter movement as opposed to a digital movement. Try a different meter as well...
