Wider fairing

Is there an after market wider fairing for the 2007 RSV?

Don't know of any, but what exactly are you looking for? There are some windshields available that are much wider and give a bigger "pocket" of still air for the rider as well as improving hand protection.

Oh yea I forgot about those. They come down to the faring but are like a total 3 inches or so wider. I may have seen one almost as wide as the faring somewhere also.

Actually, my Clearview is 5 inches wider (2 1/2 on each side) and I believe the F4 Customs is also that wide. Made a big difference on my bike and I really like that adjustable vent. Worth every penny.

I'm talking about the actual fairing being wider. I would like it to cover my hands completely. I've noticed that some of the HD's have pretty wide fairings.

You dont need to mimic all the HDs though. I think with the windscreen you can only go so big before it looks like you're riding with a glass window in front of you.

I'm not trying to mimic the HD's. I just want my hands protected. Not sure why the fairing on the Venture didn't flare out another 3 inches on each side.

 

Back to the original question though,

I've honestly never seen one that is wider. Don't know if something could be modified to work or even if they have any that are wider enough to do what you want.

My wife has a set of clear smoke hand guards on her Honda 750 shadow. That is an option. Switching out the fairing......big job. What would you do with the speedo? I would not even consider trying to switch it out. You could end up with a real mess real quick.

I definitely don't want to modify anything. If there isn't one, then there isn't one. I'm still loving the Venture as is.

Look sort of like ths rock gaurds for MX bikes. If its winter time stuff some guys in Oklahoma had these years ago. Hippo Hands

I dont want anything wider as it would probably kill the already megar gas mpg. I'm thinking about making a cut down windshield for better visability in rain and might squeak another mile or two out of the mpg.

There are some aftermarket faring companies out ther that make quality stuff. But like was mentioned what about speedo and warning lights etc? You having issues with rocks or something whaking your knuckles?
