shmily Posted May 18, 2013 #1 Posted May 18, 2013 I recently purchased an 07 Midnight Venture. I leave in a few days on a four-day ride with the boys to Rolling Thunder in DC for Memorial Day weekend. The manual give a range of ride pressures for the rear shock and front forks. My question: can anyone recommend a good start point for the "right" pressures for comfort on a long tirp with a single rider? I'll have a gym bag in the trunk and my own body weight (180) on the bike. No passenger.
Brake Pad Posted May 18, 2013 #2 Posted May 18, 2013 Im at 250, I rode at 27 pounds & 3 on the front shocks
shmily Posted May 20, 2013 Author #4 Posted May 20, 2013 So my pressure guage that with the bike is metric. Is 3-4 a setting or actual messure of pressure?
dacheedah Posted May 20, 2013 #5 Posted May 20, 2013 (edited) that's psi what unit of measure is your gauge using?? The European manual shows Spring preload (air pressure): Minimum/Standard: 0 kPa (0 kg/cm2{squared}, 0 bar) Maximum: 50 kPa (0.5 kg/cm2 {squared}, 0.5 bar) Hope that helps Edited May 20, 2013 by dacheedah
