DarkHorse9825 Posted May 17, 2013 #1 Posted May 17, 2013 Okay, I am the proud owner of a 2013 Venture. Of course I have to add things to make it my own. I am wanting to change the exhaust. I am looking for louder, but not annoying loud that prevents people from ridding with me. I have been looking at the following and would like opinions on workmanship and quality and customer service if. That is of course if any members have any experience with these brands: 1. Khrome Werks 3 inch H.P. 2. L.A. Choppers Oval Bag Slash Pipes 3. Rush Slash Down Slip-on I will be adding an air horn and new shoes when time permits. I'm just having a blast ridding it. I came from a Suzuki M109R and the Venture corners soooo much better. Thanks for any help:).
motorcycle_1300 Posted May 17, 2013 #2 Posted May 17, 2013 Had Bub pipes on a 200 Royalstar sounded good nice rumble not too loud until you really got on it then it could get loud. Bought the bike with the pipes already on it, personally I wouldn't try to make a bike louder Never was one of the wake Babies and scare little old ladies club Al

Jactana Posted May 17, 2013 #4 Posted May 17, 2013 I did the Harley Road King mufflers, 40,000 Kms on them now. They sound nice, mellow and not too loud. All the aftermarket one ones sound I've heard are too loud and "rappy". JMHO Ron
playboy Posted May 17, 2013 #5 Posted May 17, 2013 If I had the money I would get the Vance and Hines Monster Ovals there are some vids on you tube to see them mounted and hear them have a nice rumble and not obnoxious. I have Klockwerks 3'' straight cuts love the sound but they were getting a little to loud with the trailer so I re wrapped the baffles and now it's just right cruising and sound great when you roll on it. Not sure on the cost of these new as I bought them from a member who sold his RSV. They were made for a HD so I just made adapters for the mounting.
DarkHorse9825 Posted May 17, 2013 Author #6 Posted May 17, 2013 Ya Motorcycle_1300, I didn't want to scare little old ladies with my exhaust. That's why I have the air horn I wil try to cut the inner pipe and see how that sounds. Looks to be a pretty simple task. Thanks for the imput.
