Where is that Big Old Red Venture !

For some reason I really like that color :whistling:

Correction:

By first look at your Avatar it looked like a Red 2000 Venture so I thought that was your old bike ! My mistake !

I'm jealous. I sat on one at a bike show this winter and fell in love with it. I just couldn't get the wife on board with the dollars so I found a new leftover '09 Tour Deluxe. Hopefully a CCT in a few years. Nice bike!

Red was the closest I could get to ORANGE

Yup can not disagree with this comment HAHA.

I am sure you will enjoy it and I too like it better than the Vision, very nice looking

After you have ridden it at night, let us know how the forward lighting is.... a 110 watt twin filament headlight should throw a pretty good beam!

We just came up with a name last night ... Millie ... in memory of Nina's mom who passed away a year ago March.

keep those revvs above around 2500 when you crank it or you'll be disappointed coz it doesn't produce low end torque like a Hardley ... but above 3000 rpm and it will surprise you.

Remember also that the engine is solid mounted and is actually an integral component of the frame.

Will be looking forward to your comments either pro or con.

I did a Demo Day a year ago or so, the CC is a very nice ride, I'd get one. But I do like the Vision too, as the fixed fairing is what I prefer. Funny thing, as big as the Vision's bags look, they have a surprisingly smaller space than the CC's bags.

p.s. Only thing was when I tried to wind those V-twins out like a Yamaha, I bounced off the rev limiter...

The "red line" is appx 1000 rpm's lower than the RSV. The power band is also lower :smile5:

I like the lines and the way they incorporated the leds into the lights with a more modern look. I cant see those that like all the geezer chrome liking the clean lines though.

Millie it is, and a good name at that:thumbsup2:

Due to the low speed handling of my '99RSV, I've named her....Drum roll here....

Miss Piggy..

I also have a name for the '07, but the reveal will have to wait until a few more things fall into place..... :whistling:

Noticed that as well with Naugh-T's Victory seems a little slugish from idle for a V-Twin, at least compared to her 1100 Virago. (never rode the hardley). Don' take long for it to catch up HAHA.

Well...... momma always told me that if I had nothing nice to say.... don't say anything at all. If momma was here she would tell you I was never much at listening to what I was told.....soooooo ..........

Definitely not my cup of tea, maybe it grows on you.... I took the CCT out twice the CC out once the Vision out and a couple of the other goofy creations that they have used the same motor and differant gear boxes and exhaust systems for. It was pouring rain most of the morning so turn out was poor, I had my rain gear so I had fun. At $1.419 a liter for gas I rode most of the day on someone elses fuel.

I just cannot seem to enjoy a V twin with large displacement... I can see the positives in the bike.... modern, new, Ipod. The CC had the electric windshield... I love that .... if I wanted to pay more I could get it on the CCT as well. I did not like the shifting, I always felt I was in second gear starting from the lights... she hauled :moon: on the highway but still that V twin vibration. The left mirror was so low that I kept hitting my hand on it when switching turn signals and stuff ??????

Just not for me ......but I can understand one of your comments about feeling the road after being on the wing that you have no feel from. If I could find pennies, that would be my :2cents:.

Well, I can say it definitely is a different feel from the wing and the RSV and yes, it will take me a bit to get used to that different feel. I don't know what you mean about the mirror ... they are in about the same position as the RSV ... at least on mine they seem to be. Gearing is somewhat different than the RSV and I find that the clutch seems to have very little "friction zone" and it's taking me a bit to get used to that from a start in 1st; however, I did take off once in second and found that easier LOL.

I haven't quite found that "sweet spot" for seating yet but the brake and shifter are adjustable (fore / aft) so I'm going to fiddle with that a bit. I do find the seat fairly comfortable though and a big plus is that Nina likes it even more than the one on the RSV, which she preferred over the Wing.

Neither of us get anywhere near the wind buffeting we got on both the Wing and the RSV. Nina's biggest complaint has always been that her sunglasses (which are the kind that fit over regular glasses) would always be bouncing around from the wind ... not anymore she says.

Hopefully we'll get another day ride or two in this weekend and get this puppy (and us) broken in some more.

The Vic and v-twins are not for everyone, that's for sure. I've never had one before either but what the heck... a guy only lives once eh? :cool10:
