DarkHorse9825 Posted May 13, 2013 #1 Posted May 13, 2013 I am wanting to get the 100 LED Genesis II LED Tail Light from Custom Dynamics, but have a question. Do I need a load equalizer for just the break light? Will they fit the 2013 model Royal Star Venture S. I only ask the later as Amazon has them on sale but say they are for 1999 to 2009 models. Thanks.

Sylvester Posted May 14, 2013 #3 Posted May 14, 2013 You don't need equalizers for brake light, just turn signals.
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted May 20, 2013 #6 Posted May 20, 2013 Now that should make your rear very visible. It is VERY visible !
MikeWa Posted May 20, 2013 #7 Posted May 20, 2013 I have it. super upgrade. I had to enlarge the mounting holes a little though. So my lens cover would go all the way on. Mike
dunsonaventure Posted May 20, 2013 #8 Posted May 20, 2013 just plug and play my friend. great upgrade. so much brighter.
hubbsfd Posted May 20, 2013 #9 Posted May 20, 2013 This does look like an excellent upgrade. I have a question. I use a Back Off brake light modulator unit. Will this cause any issues with this upgrade?
Monty Posted May 20, 2013 #10 Posted May 20, 2013 I have the 100 led light back there, plus a big led strip under my trunk. I wired the strip with the back-off setup, but not the main tail/brake light. Seems to work well. Back-off shouldn't give you any problems either way.

Bright is good.
DarkHorse9825 Posted May 21, 2013 Author #12 Posted May 21, 2013 Thanks. I hope to get it this week. I was looking for LED strips to run vertically on each side of the rear fender. There is a chrome frame mount there and plan on sticking it on them. How hard is it to access the run/brake wires to hook these up? And has anybody done this? If so any tips to make it go smoothly.

I did this on my V-Strom and my 1st Gen but have not yet tried on my 2nd gen.

hubbsfd Posted May 21, 2013 #15 Posted May 21, 2013 Custom Dynamics are located right here in NC so my 100 LED Genesis II tail light upgrade is already at my house. Installing them tonight. Thanks for posting about these lights guys. I had not seen them.
Mikealiasmike Posted May 21, 2013 #16 Posted May 21, 2013 Anybody ever approached them to see if a large amount was ordered we could get a discount? Just curious
hubbsfd Posted May 22, 2013 #17 Posted May 22, 2013 Got em yesterday. Quick and easy install. No mounting modification needed on my bike as indicated by another poster. Very bright. My son says he can't look straight at them they are so bright. Very worth while visibility upgrade.
