Just finished doing the Nascar Experience at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL. Unbelieveable!! Best lap averaged over 147 mph. Not the best but I'll take it. Cars are rev limited to 5000.

If you ever get the chance, try it, you'll like it! :cool10:

Went to Talladega in Feb. and did 20 laps at 174 mph. Totally awesome, want to do it again someday.:cool10::cool10:

Nice speed!

They told us that when the car was limited to 5000 RPM, it would be just over 150 MPH if you could hold it right at the limit without exceeding.

I also definitely want to do it again!

The cars used at Talladega can do 185 mph I was told. I used a Toyota #47 used by Bobby LaBonte. With 33 degree banking I was able to be on the gas all the way around the track. The last two laps I had the pedal on the floor.

The track I was on had 18 degree banking. We didn't need to let off when turning but couldn't hold it to the floor or it would hit the rev limiter and run terribly. They said if we purchased 3, 8 minute sessions (cost like $1300), they raise the rev limiter to 5400 RPM for the last session. That should get you up to around 170 mph. As much fun as I had, I'm not going to drop $1300. I'll wait for another Groupon deal before I do it again.
