A few words of support for our LEO's

I've always been aware of how many LEO's we have here either active or retired. There are quite a few, and thank you all.

I was on another site I stop in on now and then that covers another subject I'm interested in. Again, a lot of LEO's on that site also. They tend to talk a little more about their work as the subject of that site is work related to them.

One member posted a couple for candid shots from inside his shop with explainations from the drivers on why they had been speeding. The theme of the post was a familier one." The idiots are among us."

The first one was 103 MPH in a 45 zone. He had to be at a meeting in an hour.

The second one was 108 MPH in a 55 zone. He was on his way home after a concert. He also had open container in the car and a loaded gun. He forgot to mention those to the officer at the time.

One poster took a rather nasty shot at the LEOs as he took offense due to feeling insulted and the plain harrasment of people that drive over the speed limit. Everybody does it right?

So all I want to say is thanks to all the LEO's we have past, present and future for looking out for us. Being we are riders, we need all the help we can get.

:thumbsup2:

Workin the second shift, I get out about midnight and its great to ride thru the city. The roads are mostly bare and it just relaxes me before I get home. last night I rode for 2 hours after work. Tonight I came over a lil hill and saw about 40 police cars, they had the entire intersection locked down. It was pretty obvious it was a check point. As I worked my way thru it, one officer checked my liacence and asked where I was coming from. We talked and he told me I should be careful because of all the drunks out at that time. As we talked they pulled the guy out of the car ahead of me and handcuffed him. He was not gonna make it home tonight, ya never know just how close they are to ya.

I also wish to thank our LEOs.

I've heard people say when you need one, you can never find one.

Perhaps that is due in part to them having to Babysit a small portion of the general population that has never learned to play by the rules.

+50 mph over the speed limit???

Cuff him Dano! Go to jail and hopefully you'll get to dine with Tyrone...LOL!

If... you want to race someone, a race track or speedway is the place to do it.

That way, the only one you're going to hurt, if you loose control, is yourself.

All these Mario Andretti, Dale Earnhardt wannabes drafting and cutting corners on our public roads need to grow up... Although it is kind of amusing watching them do it, in a "Here's Your Sign" or "watching a baby do something you know isn't going to work" sort of way.:whistling:
