GeorgiaYankee Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Does anyone have an old j&m patch cord they're not using anymore? I have a 99 Venture and only one patch cord, the set is original to the bike. I have the second headset for my wife and the system works. The 1 cord that works has a light gray ring on it with the letter "D". I also understand a HC-E will work, but they're like $70 new. Thanks for any help.
djh3 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Which cord do you need exactly. The one from the bike connection to the part at the helmet?
Heartbeat Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I've seen some of these used on eBay. Not sure if they are the one you need though. Here is one link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-Intercom-Cable-C-/140577319605?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item20bb0faab5
GeorgiaYankee Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Its the coiled one that connects helmet to bike. I don't think that one on eBay will work. The one I gave that works has a light gray plastic ring with a D on it if it helps.

Try Sierra Electronics. http://www.sierra-mc.com/
GeorgiaYankee Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 I guess if they're known to go bad, I'd be better off getting a Bluetooth set rather than spending $ on a new cable now, and another in the future.
djh3 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I think knowing what I do now, if replacing I think I'd go the chatterbox or senna route. I made connectors so I can plug ear buds in on the bike. Next step would be a way to bluetooth the music from the bike to your senna
GeorgiaYankee Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I was wondering if it were possible to plug in a blue tooth transmitter to the bike. Anyone heard of such a thing.
