My bike frame has lots of just plain dirt film (wet road sourced) that won't simply hose off. Is there a spray and flush cleaner that works without using a brush or cloth to break the bond between the dirt and surface it sits on? I don't want to use a pressure washer with hot water and surfactant as that can easily damage the electrics.

I've used good old carb cleaner. Seems to work OK. Use nonpressured water to rinse afterwards.

I have used SImple Green for years, get the bike wet spray on the Simple Green let it sit for a couple of minutes and hose off. Its non toxic to kids or pets, and removes grease very well. It hasn't ever caused any issues with paint or chrome over the years and the label says its safe for paint.
