FROG MAN Posted February 11, 2008 #1 Posted February 11, 2008 No problems here but things could be worse. The scanner was full yesterday with trees down creating brush fires. We had one just 1/2 from here. At 4:00 am there is still 7000 people with no electricity. Many with no source of backup heat. Now the scanner is full of personal injury accidents. People just trying to stay warm at 4:00am.People are to dependent on electricity and many do not have a plan for a outage. Darn cold night to go without.
Squidley Posted February 11, 2008 #2 Posted February 11, 2008 I hope it's not as cold there as here Froggie....-2 degrees and 20 below wind chill....did I mention that I HATE winter
Yammer Dan Posted February 11, 2008 #3 Posted February 11, 2008 Just a little Chilly. Snuggeled up close to Warden last night.......
mini-muffin Posted February 11, 2008 #4 Posted February 11, 2008 We could have done without all that wind yesterday too. We have wildfires all over the place. The one in the next county is about 250 acres and it's smoky out here. Guess I'll find out a little later if they opened up hwy 17 up. They closed it last night due to the smoke. Seems like the whole state has fires right now. We really really need the rain. Margaret
