timgray Posted May 8, 2009 #26 Posted May 8, 2009 Ken, I have built several of them, 3 this year alone, here are a few pics. I have used the harbor freight kits and they work out very well. Here's the trailer that I have used to build the bases, just cut them down to the size you need them to be. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=90153 I have also used a car topper and sold that one to one of our members here. Your choices are as limitless as your imagination BTW the trailer in the pics below I have logged better than 20000 miles on with absolutely no problems. Did you use This truck box? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=97012 That is a very cool idea. What does it all weigh?

Tim, No that isn't the box, I bought mine at the time at Tractor Supply Co. but they dont make the same kind now. I can't find a box that is symetrically shaped, they all have notches in the lid to butt up against the back on the truck or angles down on the front. I have spend LOTS of hours on the internet trying to find that box that I used to no avail. If I do find a source with a reasonable price I will post it up on the site in the trailer talk section. Seems anymore mfgr's can't leave well enough alone BTW...the trailer didn't weigh much at all, less than 200 lbs.
