Galapagos Posted May 2, 2013 #1 Posted May 2, 2013 I have a Yamaha dealer that really treats me great. Is there a forum to recognize a good dealer at?
Mike G in SC Posted May 2, 2013 #2 Posted May 2, 2013 Right here is good! Who/Where/Why? Also, and excellent dealer (team) at Extreme Sports Yamaha, Sumter, SC. They are having their annual open house this Saturday, May 4, 9 to 3.
Galapagos Posted May 2, 2013 Author #3 Posted May 2, 2013 Yamaha of Warren located in Champion Ohio. I called today to check tire prices. They told me to bring the bike in today and they have a sale on Dunlops. 30-40 percent off! I asked about an Avon for the front to match the rear. They gave me a good price and installed while I waited. The tech worked though his lunch to get me done! The dealer closer to me makes me wait a week while he orders tires and then three days to get the bike back. I now have a new dealer.
Barrycuda Posted May 2, 2013 #4 Posted May 2, 2013 I believe the dealer by me is pretty great. Barney's of Brooksville. the parts guy Damian is a wizard and the head of service Barry is extremely competent, cooperative, friendly and eager to help. I a unsure about prices regarding tires etc However, they go above an beyond for me...and when I am done with them, you won't see this...
AngryAmish Posted May 2, 2013 #5 Posted May 2, 2013 Barney's of St. Pete (St. Petersburg, FL) is also very good, where I bought my '07. Great service !!
bill in mn Posted May 2, 2013 #6 Posted May 2, 2013 Not me I have a dealer 6 miles from my house and I try not to do any business with them. They must have a metal detector when you walk in because they want every dime you have. I'm surprised they don't charge for the air you breath while in there.
ablumny Posted May 2, 2013 #7 Posted May 2, 2013 This is a good dealer experience thread however my local dealer said something so absurd it must be shared to contrast these good stories in the name of good fun..... I wanted to bring my venture in for carb adjust, sync, general tune up and to look at my front forks, head bearings. He told me my bike was too big to work on, takes up too much space during this busy season... Call back and they'll see if they can fit me in near July! I don't want to name them.... It's just too funny
