MikeWa Posted April 30, 2013 #1 Posted April 30, 2013 Pulled up next to and said hi to a fellow Venture Rider in Seatac WA. On 188th near I-5. Nice looking two tone blue and black bike. Mike
CaptainJoe Posted April 30, 2013 #2 Posted April 30, 2013 Did you have your Venturerider.org flag displayed?
2WHEELSFORME Posted April 30, 2013 #4 Posted April 30, 2013 Are RSVs rare in other places? I see them several times a week here. Brings me to think southerners purchase more touring bikes that have full weather protection than they do up north. Maybe because we ride year round rather than storing our bikes in the winter?

Very rarely see one around here unless MD is happening
MikeWa Posted May 1, 2013 Author #6 Posted May 1, 2013 Ok. I was in a cage when I pulled up next to him so no flag. Ventures are some what scarce around here but not really rare. I just thought if there is another VR member nearby we might hook up for lunch or a ride sometime. Mike
StarFan Posted May 1, 2013 #7 Posted May 1, 2013 Ventures are some what scarce around here but not really rare. Mike Well in Iceland they are scarce to say the least. Have a friend at the Department of motor vehicles and last time he checked there were only nine Ventures registered in Iceland. And I have one of them so there are only eight left scattered around the Island. Rarely see one. Kind of a nice to have a bike here that not many have.
beastwood Posted May 1, 2013 #8 Posted May 1, 2013 It is not much different here in southern California, as it is in Iceland. I checked out the local Star 109 chapter, there were a fair number of Tour Deluxe's, also Road Stars, but my 2008 Black Cherry RSV was the only one. Actually, I kind of liked it. I haven't met another RSV rider since I got mine last December.
Brake Pad Posted May 1, 2013 #9 Posted May 1, 2013 South Florida is the same, I know of 4 other ventures, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2007 & a 1st gen 1987
camos Posted July 16, 2013 #10 Posted July 16, 2013 Passed a couple riding a black RSV on Douglas St. in Victoria around 4pm today. Looked like they might have been from out of town. Got separated by traffic so did not get a chance to say Hi.

In your neck of the woods there is a group on 'meetup' called Know Where Riders that meets with about 20 to 60 bikes for Saturday or Sunday rides and the co leaders both have RSV. We are out here, scarce as hens teeth but are out here. VentureFar...
