Midrsv Posted April 27, 2013 #1 Posted April 27, 2013 Over the years I have shared a number of links to some of our travel photography but never really updated my web site to let people navigate through the photos. Since I'm really not doing professional photography anymore I decided to turn the web site into a photo site to document our travels. So far I've organized most of the big trips on the site. I have many more weekend trips to add and I will as time permits. We've covered a good bit of the western part of the country in these trips so if you're interested seeing places like Colorado, South Dakota, New Mexico, Northern California, Oregon and more have a look. I'll add more later. http://www.traynorphoto.com Dennis
XV1100SE Posted April 27, 2013 #2 Posted April 27, 2013 Nice pictures ! Thank you for posting the link. Nice to see what is in each area and gives and idea of areas to cover in the future ! What kind of camera did you use when you were on the bike and rolling ?
Midrsv Posted April 28, 2013 Author #3 Posted April 28, 2013 What kind of camera did you use when you were on the bike and rolling ? The photos were taken by multiple cameras because many of the images were shot by my riding companions. All of my images were shot on Canon cameras. Both point-and-shoot and SLR cameras. Dennis
Midrsv Posted April 28, 2013 Author #4 Posted April 28, 2013 I've just finished an update to the site to include photos from a couple of the VR.org Central KY Memorial weekend rides and a Smokies gathering of a few members in 2010. Dennis
Peder_y2k Posted April 28, 2013 #5 Posted April 28, 2013 Thanks for posting your pics. Brought back fond memories, .....OK.... refreshed my memories of several places I've been over the years, same gas stations, little stores, viewpoints. Was interesting because as I was looking at some of the pics taken in the Rockies/Yellowstone areas, I thought I could smell pine, and I could sense the heat of summer, crispness of mountain air, and feel the discomfort of a cold t-storm shower. BTW, what camera is that mounted verticly on the right handlebar in the Glacier album, and how do you use it? ..... meaning, is it always on and will begin recording with the touch of a button? Can you easily/quickly remove it for hand operation? I assume the cam is waterproof.... -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '83,88

It is waterproof and can shoot submerged. I shot this underwater footage with it: [ame] [/ame] On the bike I tried to use it with limited success to capture the ride over Chief Joseph Highway, Beartooth Pass and the Going-to-the-Sun road. Being mounted on the handlebars there was just too much vibration. I may try to post a short video to the web site. Dennis
SundayRider Posted April 29, 2013 #7 Posted April 29, 2013 You sure have toured some awesome country. I'm jealous.
