So my bike was running a little rough this season, so I pulled the tank and replaced the air filter. I also bought plugs, but I started the bike to make sure I got all the connections right. Now I've got a moderate amount of white smoke coming only from the top right tail pipe. What would cause this? Is it possible debris got down in the carb?

are you using any coolant, white smoke usually is a sign of coolant burning in a cylinder

:sign yeah that:

And it doesn't take much to make a bunch of smoke.

I run a 96 royal star, so it is liquid cooled. I replaced the plugs after posting that and it doesn't appear to be smoking anymore. So perhaps the plug was fouled and wasn't firing. I also had to take the radiator cap/bracket off to open the air box, so perhaps a drop of antifreeze wound up in the cylinder? Whatever the cause, it seems to be resolved now.
