And I was not all that impressed, I figured a 1900cc would have had more git up & go. Found the riding position awkward with the forward controls. The ride was nice but I kept hitting the rev limiter which took some of the fun out of the ride. I think I'll be keeping the RSV road sofa :thumbsup2:

My daughter took a Can AM out for the ride and once she got used to it she was doing burn outs off every light, sliding the rear wheel out every time, she was laughing and smiling the whole time :rotf::rotf: She got off it and said NO THANKS when they asked how she liked it. YES Carl, the muffler stayed on for the whole ride! :rotfl:

A buddy of mine had a simular experience with a Honda Shadow I think was the bike. Looks sort of like a sporster. Anyways he fell into buying the 1100 version of the bike as fixers and riding them for awhile. Then he ran across the 1300 version I think it was. Thinking bigger is better, but he said the motor didnt have the same power range and the ergos were off, for him atleast.

As far as the Can-am I'm on the fence. I kind of like the things. Dont know how comfy they would be 2 up on long rides, and I wonder about rain riding as either you are putting the drive wheel in the center (oil stripe) or a steering wheel there. The look is differen but so is a Vision and I like them too. :)

Indeed it is Larry. First thing I noticed was the wind blasting me. After being behind a wind screen for so long now, I don't think i'd like being without one, especially on a long ride, even more so when the weather turns nasty..

The can am is a bit short on room for 2 up LD riding. I much prefer a conventional trike over the inverse design of the can am.

A lady in our riding club has the touring version of the Spyder and she says it is quite confy two -up. And neither she nor her boyfriend could be described as "petite"! As for rain riding, she hasn't had any problems yet. But then you can move a bit left or right of the "stripe" while still staying in your lane, so that doesn't seem to be a problem. Throw in the various available electronic "nannies" and it is very difficult to get into trouble with it, although they do kill off some of the fun! Comfort wise, you definitely want to stay away from the "sport" model as it has very "sport bike" ergos and can be hard on the wrists and back.

I had the same trouble on my Vic, but companies like Corbin, make fairings for just about anything. or Memphis shades. I put a small windshield on the Vic and it made a huge difference, pushed the air over my helmet, not sure I want a batwing yet...im likin the breeze!
