timgray Posted April 25, 2013 #1 Posted April 25, 2013 I'm not having any problems with my fuel pump, but it is almost 30 years old. I am thinking that in order to be sure I dont get stranded 500 miles from home, replacing it would be a good idea. IS there a more modern unit that is the same or close enough that it fits well for the MK-I 1 st gen bikes?
Snaggletooth Posted April 25, 2013 #2 Posted April 25, 2013 This one has been used by others. It's not a direct bolt-in but it will fit in the same area. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MRG0/42S.oap?keyword=electric+fuel+pump&pt=N0515&ppt=C0128 I have one on the shelf as a standby in case of failure.

I don't if it's more modern but it will be new and a lot cheaper than one from a dealer. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/_/N-8vcz2?itemIdentifier=254441_0_0_
