Condor Posted February 10, 2008 #1 Posted February 10, 2008 For the first time in a few months I actually rode a scoot. The back is almost 100%, and the weather was awesome. I needed a little welding done on the '91, so decided to ride it over to the welders. Not far but enough to get the feel of being on 2 wheels again.... WooHooo!!! Temps yesterday got into the 70's. I actually cracked a sweat working on the scoot in the afternoon...
Eck Posted February 10, 2008 #2 Posted February 10, 2008 Well Condor, sorry I couldnt ride with you yesterday, but I did go for a ride and rode about 218 miles..Temp here was not near what yours was (60) but it was great riding weather. Wont be long and we will see many posts of folks talking about thier daily rides..
gibvel Posted February 10, 2008 #3 Posted February 10, 2008 Yeah, the temp got into the 50s here and the winds died down a little so I got in a ride as well.
stardbog Posted February 10, 2008 #4 Posted February 10, 2008 Yeah You....Luckey guy's. For Change read this forecast for Chicago. I Have to deal with PMS for while.:crying: Quote: "Strong Northwest Winds And Temperatures Around 5 Below Zero Will Continue To Result In Wind Chills Of Around 30 Degrees Below Zero This Morning. During The Afternoon Temperatures Will Slowly Climb To Zero To 5 Above...However Strong Northwest Winds Will Continue To Produce Wind Chills Of 20 To 30 Below Zero Through The Afternoon. A Wind Chill Warning Means The Combination Of Very Cold Air And Strong Winds Will Create Dangerously Low Wind Chill Values. This Will Result In Frost Bite And Lead To Hypothermia Or Death If Precautions Are Not Taken." How you fill now.. Hope this gonna warm up your hart
86er Posted February 10, 2008 #5 Posted February 10, 2008 I guess I missed something, Jack! What happened with your back? Whatever it was I'm glad your getting back to 100%. I've had back surgery, but I'm not sure it totally took! Back pain SUX! Fortunately, through the years of back trouble I've had, my riding has not been affected much. Riding on the bike was always more comfortable than riding/driving a car, and riding in my sister's '04 Jeep was about the worst.

Riding on the bike was always more comfortable than riding/driving a car, and riding in my sister's '04 Jeep was about the worst. I feel your pain Todd..... Yeah, I've had a bad back ever since my early 20's when I ruined it helping a friend unload some rolls of chain link fencing from a pickup. When it happened I saw little white dots falling from the sky. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital in traction. No fun.. I've had back 'cramps' ever since my college round ball days, but this was an injury. The Docs said I stretched the trans ligament in my lower back 2 inches. Two weeks ago I stretched in the shower and felt a pop but no pain. Kinda like cracking your knuckles... Got out and started doing some light lifting, and had to quit right in the middle after the pain got so bad I could hardly move. Spent the next 5 days in the recliner and munchin' Motrin. Worst pain since the chain link accident. They say old sports injuries never go away, and start cropping up again when you get older. Guess what???
