Black wing Posted April 20, 2013 #1 Posted April 20, 2013 does anyone know whats its for? and do you need it? i just brought a parts bike home and it doesnt have one or a spot on the harness to plug one in. however this bike also does not have a CB is it part of the CB system?

All it is for is to remove static in radio & CB reception/transmission. You could remove it from bike and it will run just as well. There is a 2nd smaller capacitor on the MKII bikes in left fairing pocket area also. This one is closer to the radio and does same thing as the larger one. Gary
