dunvilsteev Posted April 20, 2013 #1 Posted April 20, 2013 There's got to be an easier way.... When I had the new tires installed I told the guy to face the air valve to the high side (right), but he called me in and showed me the positioning of the rear brake disc made this impossible. Crawling underneath with very limited vision, dam hot pipes and of course, I'm lowered by 2" too, makes for a difficult time and a freakin' burned forearm! Like i said .... there's got to be an easier way. >>>
eusa1 Posted April 20, 2013 #2 Posted April 20, 2013 Remove the 90% stem and install a 45% stem and angle it in a forward rotation facing direction so it points out between the rotor and the rim towards the back when you roll it forward. Then go buy a trucker style long neck gauge and tire chuck. Then do the same for the front wheel.
george c Posted April 20, 2013 #3 Posted April 20, 2013 had mine on facing to the right. It works but with the bags on you still need to git on the ground to check the air
