GAWildKat Posted April 16, 2013 #1 Posted April 16, 2013 Got a friend looking at getting a cruiser so his wife can ride sometimes, he's moving from sport bikes to cruisers and found a 2011 stryker that he loves. What is the general opinion of the bike all around? And am I wrong in thinking that if he wants his wife to ride he should be flexible in things like a backrest and seat style? He loves the bike because it looks sporty, but thinks things like changing the seat and adding a backrest destroy the look it has. Guess it's me, if you buy a bike because you want the wife/girlfriend to ride you need to be flexible....
Prairiehammer Posted April 16, 2013 #2 Posted April 16, 2013 I know the Stryker isn't like this sport bike, but show this to him and remind him how much he likes his wife. http://s01.yapfiles.ru/files/596941/1366038901_1021558987.gif

SilvrT Posted April 16, 2013 #7 Posted April 16, 2013 I think he's really after the "chopper" style ... not cruiser.
Prairiehammer Posted April 16, 2013 #8 Posted April 16, 2013 Stryker with sissy bar. Looks very chopperesque and she might not fall off.

If you gonna haul passengers get something safe.

milway venture Posted April 16, 2013 #12 Posted April 16, 2013 I have the strikers big brother, raider and it was ok for us 2 up but the rsv is amazing and waaaayyyy better for us even if it don't look as cool. Lol
dacheedah Posted April 17, 2013 #13 Posted April 17, 2013 my manparts hurt just watchin that, I can't even imagine her lady parts. . .
eusa1 Posted April 17, 2013 #14 Posted April 17, 2013 I liked it, the wife liked it, it fit well for height, but the forward controls are too far forward for her to operate with comfort.
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted April 17, 2013 #15 Posted April 17, 2013 I rode the Stryker on "Demo Days" last year and enjoyed it, nothing bad to say about it.
mraf Posted April 17, 2013 #16 Posted April 17, 2013 20 miles on that passenger pad for a seat and his wife will be banging him up on the side of his head telling him to forget her ever riding again.
