Joe don't give up on HD with that sporty , next time your home here in Michigan you need to try out my roadglide. I'm glad your riding but I think that the bike is just a little to small for your size buddy no offense.

very nice looking bike , I like the color.

Good looking bike Joe. Hope you can get more than 500 miles / year out of it thou. If that "piglet" don't rattle you to much, that is. Seriously bottom line is you'll be riding again. Hope to see you soon.

Nice lookin Sporty ... but .... I always thought they were a GIRL's bike :confused24: :stickpoke:

Just ribbin ya of course ... my son has an '03 Anniversary Edition. He bought it brand new and I had to ride it home for him coz he didn't even know how to ride yet LOL. As for the size, he's 6'3" and around 190 .. definately looks too big for the bike.

I've ridden it several times ... ton's of power! Probably the best engine/tranny/frame combination Harley makes.

Your probably right but for what I got it for it will do for now. Most riding around here I will be doing is maybe 100-200 mile days. I might just take you up on that offer also hope to see everyone sometime soon. :)

Good luck Joe. That little Sporty will be like riding a dirt bike compared to the RSV. Should be fun.

Yup sure may feel that way. But the RSV sometimes feels a little to wide for me and heavy. I need a little lower to ground and lighter. I'm not getting any younger. This will give me the HD experience though. I will set up like my RSTD hard bags and trunk. :whistling:

where's the cassette deck???

Yamaha took all of Harley's cassette decks so they'd have enuf for the next 5 years of Ventures ... which means, there will be a new version in 2014 with an updated "Harley" cassette deck

I think about getting one to zip around town on. That's a great price on that fuel injected sporty. Good engine on those that don't self destruct by design. I'm also looking at the Triumph T100.

Son's first bike was a sporty and now he rides a Low Rider. Both had/has the same seat. It looks like the Harley Sundowner seat. Very nice seat and makes a big difference in the ride. Oh and your welcome to try my Ultra if you make it back up this way.

Yeah I don't know what kind of seat it is but it looks like it would be a nice ride in the saddle. I might take you up on that some day, trying the ultra out.

I use to have a 06 Sportster, they are great bikes. I rode the $*%# out of mine, about 10,000 per year when I had it. A good number of those miles were 2 up with my oldest boy on the back.

I had a Mustang Vintage Wide seat on my bike, I loved that seat. I also swapped out my handle bars so I sat in a more upright position.
