Ok guys is it me or is this for real? I have five bottles of Seafoam on the shelf. I read a few post on here about Techron and figured "what the heck" I'll try it. Bought a couple of bottles. Midnight is full of gas so put it in my Toyota Tundra and see what happens. Both 20 oz bottles. Well over the next few weeks I had forgotten about the Techron in the tank! Fueled up as usual, checked fuel mileage as usual and the 14.7 mpg was now 15.9, next fillup was 17.6, then 18.5. I was shocked and confused. Rechecked my math same outcome! Then my beautiful wife reminded me of the Techron, and I quote "do you think that stuff you put in the tank has anything to do with it sweetheart"? :) Anyway after a big kiss and an OMG I am so stupid, I bought two more bottles and put it in our 2001 crown vic and 18 mpg to 21 mpg!!!!!!!!!!! In one treatment!!!!!!!!! Haven't tried it in my bike yet but wiil let you'll know...... BTW advance auto has 20oz bottles buy one get one free FYI......

Techron is good stuff, like Seafoam. Obviously your cars needed fuel system cleanup, and Techron does that. I purchase Union76 fuel for all my vehicles, including bikes, because it already contains Techron. However, Techron does not contain a water dispersant, and Seafoam does. So, I maintain a Seafoam regimen in adjusted amounts for my cycles, especially for the storage season. I am careful to avoid 'over treatment' with additives as a precaution.

Ok you said and I qoute "44 mpg on my '05 Chev Silverado." I find that kinda hard to believe.................:think:

Chevron gas - comes with Techron. I use it all the time and I'm getting 58 mpg on my Wing and 44 mpg on my '05 Chev Silverado.

Notice SilvrT's location..........CANADA.......... seems they use the Imperial Gallon, and Liters. Makes a big difference for comparrison to US gallons.

58 mpg Imperial = 48 mpg US

58 mpg US = 70 mpg Imperial

Either way it's still a "gotcha" :rotfl:

For a big heavy bike like the Wing, that mileage is good. My '88VR (780lbs.) does between 49.9 and 51mpgUS (GPS confirmed) when driven gently. IF mileage drops under 47mpgUS, I figure I've got work to do.......

Maybe I'm "not getting it" (the responses) or maybe y'all aren't but guys, just for clarification a "gotcha" means I'm yankin yer chain ...

For real tho, my Wing is getting 46 MPG Imperial on average. No idea what the Silverado gets and am afraid to find out LOL

After reading some of the glowing comments about Techron I thought I'd give it a try. I checked online at several places and found that Advance Auto has a buy one get one free sale on right now. Equals out to two 20 oz bottles for $12.99

Just an FYI for anyone interested. I bought a couple and they look wonderful on my workbench.
