BlueVenture87 Posted April 6, 2013 #1 Posted April 6, 2013 Hi folks, I'm in the process of putting the fairing parts back on my '87 but most of the nice chrome screws from the windshield garnish fight down to the lower chin are trashed. Anyone have spares? Know where to get spares? finding a set would be a great help! Thanks! -JK

Snaggletooth Posted April 6, 2013 #3 Posted April 6, 2013 Made my own. SS Allens, Chrome washers, Aluminum spacers and a dab of JB Weld to hold the spacers in place. Cut to fit.
BlueVenture87 Posted April 6, 2013 Author #4 Posted April 6, 2013 I have done this where I can. What's left is too specialized. I even took by bad ones into Fastenal and struck out. This is especially true on the windshield garnish screws. These seem to be specifically made for this machine! Thanks for the idea though -JK
Prairiehammer Posted April 6, 2013 #5 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) The screws that secure the chrome windshield trim (MKI and MKII use same) are still available for $4.00 or so: http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/yamaha/Y-90149-05185-00.html The hex socket screws that hold the chin cowling are also available at above site for $2.00 each and presumably at your friendly stealer: http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/yamaha/Y-90110-06078-00.html Edited April 6, 2013 by Prairiehammer
