Venturous Randy Posted April 3, 2013 #1 Posted April 3, 2013 On most sites I go on, the back button has stopped working. It is real frustrating when doing a search on Craigs List. It also has stopped working on this site. Any suggestions? I use Comcast. RandyA
bkuhr Posted April 3, 2013 #2 Posted April 3, 2013 Hadn't given it much thought, but think I had same issue yesterday. I switched from I.E to Firefox, and finished what I was looking for.
dacheedah Posted April 3, 2013 #3 Posted April 3, 2013 right click on the page, not the link and select back.
camos Posted April 3, 2013 #4 Posted April 3, 2013 I've happily been using the Firefox browser for 10 years but the last two or three versions have required that I double click the Back button to get it to work. Very annoying. For the past two weeks I've been using Chrome and have not experienced that issue. Comcast is an ISP and probably do not have their own browser but probably bundle Internet Explorer with their stuff. Could also be a different browser that is bundled. Help | About in the menu might indicate which browser you have.
Venturous Randy Posted April 3, 2013 Author #5 Posted April 3, 2013 right click on the page, not the link and select back. This does not do anything, same as back button. RandyA
ragtop69gs Posted April 3, 2013 #6 Posted April 3, 2013 Can you go back using the backspace key on your keyboard? Try clearing your cookies.
Prairiehammer Posted April 3, 2013 #7 Posted April 3, 2013 Randy, Others have had the problem. Go here for a discussion and possible causes. http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/231976-does-internet-explorer-9-back-button-not-work-correctly-you-2.html
Condor Posted April 3, 2013 #8 Posted April 3, 2013 Sometimes I'll run into the back problem. When I do I right click on the link and open in a new tab. When through delete the tab and your back.

If a new tab or window, there's nothing in that tab or window to go back to. The back button will only work if a new page is loaded in the same window.
