I think NADA on that is $7800 stock.

I think it depends on how fast you want to sell it, or how many tire kickers and test riders you want to put up with.

You got lots of extra bling, and I'm surprised how many guys want full price back and then some. As a personal preference, I only want a stock bike. Sometimes guys bling their bikes and it looks just like they had too much money and not enough sense. Other times, a few tasteful mods really do make the bike better.

How many cents on the dollar would you pay for somebody else's used bling, can't be sure if was done right, or caused a future electrical problem, or whatever, no warranty, and no recourse because it was a private sale.

imho, ask for 85, you might get it, but expect to wait, and sell for 78. :detective:

KBB says $5200 low retail - $7600 average retail.:confused24:

no bling... depends on what you think someone is willing to pay for bling?

and those prices are retail...

But since you ask for specific price...Thinking some where closer to 6500-7000 based on what these machines have been going for, unless of course you are a dealer.

Andrew, we could auction that bike off right here, and use our considerably educated and experienced minds to judge the value of it, rather than some rookies that have never owned one of these.

I would want to see more specific pictures of it, but...I will start the bidding at $ 5,000.00

OK I hate to be bearer of bad news, but that nice list of aftermarket/mods?? Add $0.00 to the resale value!! The unfortunate truth about safety chrome, performance mods, etc. is it adds nothing to the resale value/trade in price...

Sorry Bob, but I don't agree. Granted, some of the farkles listed have no value other than polishing the apple, but you'd be hard pressed to replace other items that are very hard to find. The tape/guage mod is one such item. The LED spoiler has been discontinued. Someone that's in the know will be swayed to not grind as much. Those that don't know buy Harleys..... :whistling:

Thank you all. You've mostly confirmed where I was thinking, wind up near $7k. I wasn't thinking about selling on the forum, nice idea but $5k is too low :)

I also agree that the value of add ons is subjective and I personally don't like a lot of chrome bling stuff. Most of my mods were functional versus for show.

Maybe the price will go up when include all my 2x and 3x riding jackets, gloves rain gear! :)

Anyway, great feedback. Thanks again. When I list it, I'll post a link!

Hey, that is just my starting bid. It has to start somewhere, and considering that whomever buys it has to travel to...Long Island, NY., where they don't even make good Salsa...then...well...you know.:rotf:

Okay, Condor raised me on the bid, so I will up his $ 5001.00 bid to my new offer of $ 5,500.00

Do I hear $ 5,750.00 ???????

Hmmm getting up there but not close enough yet!

I forget to mention a new Works rear shock and K&N filters !

I think ill be listing for $7500. I don't believe the kbb #s are reflective of reality but the mileage is low, lots of the right upgrades, it's a Midnight so you know it's already better :). :whistling:

I paid $10k for it 3 years ago when it had 9k miles on it. interesting depreciation

Thx for the great advice.

Look at what similar bikes are selling for in your area Cycle Trader, Craigslist, etc. Check Completed Listings on ebay (bikes that actually sold). You are always better off if you don't Have to sell and can project that during the sale. That being said, Its a tough sale because you need a buyer with cash or the creditworthiness to get a signature loan for that amount (and willing to go into debt for a 10 year old bike with no warranty). If you can wait for the right buyer who has been shopping these bikes, you should get be able to get what its worth to you. Tax refunds are coming and now is a good time to sell.

Yes, agree and I'm not in dire straights to sell. I've taken all the advice here and reviewed the places suggested. I'm still convinced at 7500 it's a deal, if I wind up anywhere north of 7k I'd be happy but time will tell.

I've got a local friend of a friend thinking 6500, if I get desperate .......

Thx

Andrew
