XV1100SE Posted March 31, 2013 #2 Posted March 31, 2013 I use S100 a couple times a year. Makes cleaning the bike so much easier ! http://www.s100.com/index.htm I don't have the whole kit. Just the one where you wash the bike, mist it on, hose it off, dry it, and ride.
tz89 Posted March 31, 2013 #3 Posted March 31, 2013 Pledge. For just about everything, windshield, painted metal, chrome. Aerospace Protectant 303. Seat, dash, rubber, cables.
djh3 Posted March 31, 2013 #4 Posted March 31, 2013 I have used Bike Brite and I think it works well if you need a spray on cleaner. I just bought a bottle of the S100 on recomendation from a fellow rider as I had used up all the bike brite. Only thing I have tried it on is the nasty brake dusty wheels on the wifes Durango. I can tell you I was pretty impressed with it. They were a redish black color from the brake dust. Sprayed on the S100 and a couple minutes rinsed it off. You could atleast tell they were suposed to be silver. Besster than any other "spray on" wheel cleaner I have tried. So I think it will do good. Usually I use just the spray on detail wax. Only use the S100 type stuff if its really dirty or I got caught in rain.

spike13 Posted March 31, 2013 #9 Posted March 31, 2013 clay bar worked wonders on my midnight had white road paint all over the front took it right off $17 at walmart
Barrycuda Posted March 31, 2013 #11 Posted March 31, 2013 Whats the ss1? Dion, it's a product made by poor boy. I use to use it on my BMW M3. Was amazing and left little to no swirl or residue. I asked a lot of questions when I first had the ultimate driving machine from those who detail high end cars. That product kept being said. They make a ss1, a ss2 and other products. I believe 1 is not as abrasive. I still use it on my Vulcan and it looks spit shine new, and its 13 years old. Just lazier now so it's due for another one..

Eck Posted April 1, 2013 #15 Posted April 1, 2013 Honda Polish on everything, I buy it by the case:080402gudl_prv: Craig, You need to show me how to use that stuff on my GW. You know, one of those "real live demonstrations"........ ....
Mike G in SC Posted April 1, 2013 #16 Posted April 1, 2013 For cleaning, SHOUT,,,, the laundry spray stuff. Good on chrome and painted surfaces. Not so much on the tires. Greased Lightning or that Green stuff is better on tires. Also, there was a hose end unit by Mr Clean with good soap and a drying agent. But I think that is off the market. Or spend $$$ on MC specific.

Marcarl Posted April 1, 2013 #19 Posted April 1, 2013 I gave Saddlebum a real live demo on his scoot, and now he has taken all the engine covers to get polished and thinking on who he rope into doing the rest of the scoot around the clean spots.
