I've looked around and really didn't find anything related to this, so here goes. Has anyone totally replaced the audio setup on a 2nd Gen? I'm talking removing the whole Yamaha system, CB/receiver/control pod/(even the cassette deck:confused24:)/antenna's? I know some folks have replaced the stereos only. I guess my main question is,,,would there still be any way to wire in the headsets? I realize if you remove the control pod then you'll lose the selection ability. Just doing some "thinking outside the box".

My idea as I've pondered it for a while.....

Remove the entire sound system, replace the entire fairing with one that has a sound system installed in-fairing. That would of course be a megabucks conversion.

To me the question would be why are you removing everything? If your upgrading the radio part of it I think thats been done. But how do you fit all that stuf in as good as yami did? My other thought was if you gut the radio/comm system just go back with blue tooth enabled equipment. Then you just get the BT stuff for helmet and no more cords. :confused24:

J&M has the handle bar mount ones.
