Barrycuda Posted March 27, 2013 #1 Posted March 27, 2013 Last week I sent my fluffy pillow top front and rear to the lone star state to have the famous butt butler modification done. I must say, Rick is the man! Excellent communication, turn around time in less than 48 hours. The seats came back, visually, no way for me to tell. Took my raspberry RSV out for a stroll, approximately 150 miles. My backside feels wonderful. At first it was hard to tell, however after riding non stop, I learned all about what you veteran guys were talking about. Also, Rick was nice enough to include 2 quick release caps for the front seat and did not charge ! I encourage anyone who wants to get more miles out of the seat and your own rear end, I can not state enough....you MUST take your seats to Rick Butler. THANKS RICK....YOU ARE THE MAN.
spike13 Posted March 27, 2013 #3 Posted March 27, 2013 mine has been done and on the bike for two months but winter has been relentless
The Black Pearl Posted March 28, 2013 #4 Posted March 28, 2013 Did mine awhile back and it's the greatest thing since sliced bread he truly is the man!!!
dallio Posted March 28, 2013 #5 Posted March 28, 2013 just what is it that he does to the seats to make them better? i have never heard of this and can he do Harleys?
OLDYELR Posted March 28, 2013 #6 Posted March 28, 2013 Had mine done on my '04 RSV seat last spring. Did a 1900+ trip shortly after and it was great! Would recommend him to anyone. Much cheaper than a custom seat.
Dragonslayer Posted March 28, 2013 #7 Posted March 28, 2013 I might be in the market for a butt butler in the near future are there any pictures of the seat on this site I can look at?
Cougar Posted March 28, 2013 #8 Posted March 28, 2013 Yup, going on 4 years with our two seats LOVE HIS WORK DALE, I am betting he can just email him.
Cougar Posted March 28, 2013 #9 Posted March 28, 2013 Dale,,, Here... http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3738&title=butt-butler-seat-mod&cat=25
Barrycuda Posted March 28, 2013 Author #10 Posted March 28, 2013 just what is it that he does to the seats to make them better? i have never heard of this and can he do Harleys? He also does other seats , but stays away from Corbin . He refused to do my custom corbin seat based on his high standards, Corbin seats give him fits... That said, shoot him an email and let him know your seats etc. let him work his magic for you. Much cheaper than custom seats and it is his passion and interest that makes it great also. Barry
playboy Posted March 28, 2013 #11 Posted March 28, 2013 I stopped by and had Rick fix mine and the passenger seat then pick them up on the way back through. Also picked up a set of his saddle bag bolts and they work great. But unfortunately I have not had a chance to try out my seats yet other than sitting on them in the shop and going vroom vroom. But it was great to meet the famous BUTT man and we had a great chat!
dallio Posted March 29, 2013 #12 Posted March 29, 2013 thanks for the info. i might have to check this out.
Jayceesfolly Posted March 29, 2013 #13 Posted March 29, 2013 I had Rick do my seat last year and I don't know how I ever rode BTBBM. (Before The Butt Butler Mod). He does a great job! Jim
rougeray Posted March 29, 2013 #14 Posted March 29, 2013 What are the "quick release" caps? Pain in the a** to get the OEM nuts off to access the battery.
