M61A1MECH Posted March 24, 2013 #1 Posted March 24, 2013 Yesterday I cashed in on a gift my wife gave me to cover Christmas 2012 and Birthday 2013. She bought me a ride on a WWII vintage aircraft, an A-6 trainer, got fly around for about 1/2 hour and even did a few aerial combat type manuveurs, rolls, loops and what not, very cool. It all happened after the TICO Warbird show in Titusville yesterday, a really good show, was able to see one of if not the last show by the Air Force Thunderbirds, I took over 1000 photos in the matter of a bout 2 hours, 10 of the better ones are posted here, http://s40.photobucket.com/user/royalsteve/library/TICO%20AIRSHOW%202013. Just wanted to say thank you to my wife.
Mike G in SC Posted March 24, 2013 #3 Posted March 24, 2013 Sounds like a blast. Where's the other 992 pics? Mike G.

M61A1MECH Posted March 24, 2013 Author #5 Posted March 24, 2013 Sounds like a blast. Where's the other 992 pics? On my computer, you just have to come to Florida to see them, sounds like a reason for road trip, right?
Flyinfool Posted March 24, 2013 #6 Posted March 24, 2013 Lucky you! I would love to do that. Is your wife single????
midnightventure Posted March 24, 2013 #7 Posted March 24, 2013 When I first read that I thought you said she bought you the plane and you were already doing rolls. Luckily I reread it and got it right. Still a nice present.
Barrycuda Posted March 24, 2013 #8 Posted March 24, 2013 Great gift Steve !! For anyone who does not know, both Steve and his wife are awesome people. Made me feel welcome the very first time I was at the home. Glad you had a blast!!
jfoster Posted March 25, 2013 #9 Posted March 25, 2013 We gave my step-dad and father-in-law that gift one year. Expensive, but they had a good time. My step-dad decided he too wanted some rolls etc and it got the best of him. I think the company we used was Warbirds. They had a yellow WWII AT-6 or something very similar. So, glad the O.P. enjoyed his flight time. I'm still waiting for mine!
