If anybody can chime in here it would be great. My son has a 650 V-Star Custom. It has crash bars etc. My son wants to add some highway pegs, and possibly some passenger pegs as well. Has anybody on here had any experience with the passenger pegs on the V-Star? Looks like the mounts for the pegs are kind of high up on the bike? So probly would want pegs rather than boards? Any input to steer me the right way before I spend a bunch of time on the research end of it would be appreciated.......

Daughter has a 650 v-star with forward pegs and controls. She feels no need for highway pegs. The only crash bars I've seen for the 650 are kind of like those on harley's so you could just buy some that clamp on around the crash bars. As far as the passenger pegs, hers came from factory with them. You have any pic's of the bike and crash bars?

If I remember right.....650 v-star classic has rider floorboards and the custom has forward pegs and controls.

CHECKOUT THIS FORUM! lot of great guys on there to answer your questions. i've had 99 and 01 classics. kuryakin makes an off-set on mounts so you can mount and roll them back and down towards the rider. i had to put them on my wife's 01 to helpout her short legs. you might pick up a set of floorboards somebody took off to go with forward controls. kuryakin also has triangle floorboards that mounts in place of oem back pegs. hope this helps out.

I had simular bars on my 900 Vulcan. I mounted up a setof the Kurakin Adjustable pegs. I liked them so much when I bought the RSV I took them off the 900. I think they are called dualy. I got them used off e-bay for about $35. Just need to make sure you are getting the correct size clamp for highway bars. They come in about 3 different sizes.
