I cut candy completely out of my diet over a year ago. Now Rum Balls...they aren't candy are they??? Maybe if I try a few more...I won't need my protein drink before working out today!!:whistling:

You have recently deleted candy from your diet, and I think that is admirable. However, if you knew how and what rum balls were made from you may just quit them as well! I once knew a women who worked in a local bakery, doing the baking. She informed me that rum balls were made by combining all the day old or older products in the store. Thrown in a big mixer and ground up until unrecognizable, then add RUM FLAVORING, roll into little round balls and bake. Presto; rum balls! I have not had one in years. One question. how much, if any, weight have you lost? Maybe I too will give up candy.

I don't think thats where these Rum Balls came from. The candy thing wasn't hard but weight?? I'm rearangeing it. Just trying to get back to what I was at one time. When I walked the yard at a maxium security prison and the convicts moved out of my way. Probally gained a few but waistline lost just a little. Maybe. I quit the candy for several reasons but really haven't made a effort to loose weight yet. I may do that this spring. Maybe. Have I mentioned I LIKE to EAT!!! I've never seen a bad Burger.... Where did I put those Rum Balls...

I might just be getting old.:whistling: Who said that!!

I go thru a large bag of English Mints a week ... ain't gained or lost a pound in 30 years ... :confused24:

I have noticed that any excess "fat" from my upper body has managed to slide down to my mid section though!! :rotfl:

My wife makes the rum balls every Christmas. Of course she makes hers from all fresh ingredients. They are fantastic and go quickly. Luckily she doesn't make them all year long or I would weigh 400 lbs.

Candy is almost pure sugar. Rum Balls have no sugar added.

Candy has no nutritional value. Rum balls do have nutritional value.

Rum Balls do have carbs and protein.

Someones been talking to the mailman......:whistling:
