dacheedah Posted March 14, 2013 #2 Posted March 14, 2013 I heard it, there was a lot of speculation the Cardinals would come from Africa or South America. Prayers for him and I do think it will prove to be a good selection.
spear Posted March 14, 2013 #3 Posted March 14, 2013 You know the one good thing about being a catholic priest? When they 'transfer' you from one diocese to another, you don't have to worry about upsetting the missus and the kids with the relocation. :rotfl:
jinx56 Posted March 14, 2013 #4 Posted March 14, 2013 Do we really need this kind of religious news on our site. Read the paper or listen to the news for up to date coverage on polictical and religious news, murder and other mayhem. I know we are open to all views but......oh yeah I forgot......freedom of expression and speech. Sorry about that; hope I did not offend anyone.
mini-muffin Posted March 14, 2013 #5 Posted March 14, 2013 Actually You are in the prayer section of the site, so if you don't like anything religious don't read it. Margaret
jinx56 Posted March 14, 2013 #6 Posted March 14, 2013 Ah, I was getting bored but not anymore; thanks for the uplifting note; but I did say I was sorry if I offended anyone and I did not see any prayer (which I firmly believe in) in the message. something like watching tv eh...if you don't like it change the channel.
SilvrT Posted March 14, 2013 Author #7 Posted March 14, 2013 Do we really need this kind of religious news on our site. heck no ... we don't NEED it ... But it here anyway!
SilvrT Posted March 14, 2013 Author #8 Posted March 14, 2013 I did not see any prayer (which I firmly believe in) in the message. I think it falls under the " Etc " part ... you know... "Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc."
mini-muffin Posted March 14, 2013 #9 Posted March 14, 2013 Ah, I was getting bored but not anymore; thanks for the uplifting note; but I did say I was sorry if I offended anyone and I did not see any prayer (which I firmly believe in) in the message. something like watching tv eh...if you don't like it change the channel. In my experience when someone says they don't mean to offend then maybe they shouldn't have posted in the first place because that's exactly what they are going to do.
Yammer Dan Posted March 14, 2013 #10 Posted March 14, 2013 In my experience when someone says they don't mean to offend then maybe they shouldn't have posted in the first place because that's exactly what they are going to do. :rotfl::rotfl: I'm staying in my corner. Done been chewed on enough for voicing my opinion.....:whistling:
Panjandrum Posted March 14, 2013 #11 Posted March 14, 2013 He is Pope Francis. He will not be known as Pope Francis I until there is a Pope Francis II. I know, don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.
Yammer Dan Posted March 14, 2013 #12 Posted March 14, 2013 He is Pope Francis. He will not be known as Pope Francis I until there is a Pope Francis II. I know, don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff. Now I've petted a few sweaty things.......:stirthepot:
mini-muffin Posted March 14, 2013 #13 Posted March 14, 2013 I'm not even asking what sweaty things. Nope ya can't make me. Margaret
icebrrg3rd Posted March 15, 2013 #14 Posted March 15, 2013 This thread has gone from a new pope to petting sweaty things... You are all going straight to H-E-double hockey sticks!!! -Andrew
SilvrT Posted March 15, 2013 Author #15 Posted March 15, 2013 This thread has gone from a new pope to petting sweaty things... Seems to me I read somewhere that there's a connection ....
Yammer Dan Posted March 15, 2013 #16 Posted March 15, 2013 And I ain't telling. There are some things I'm scared of!!!
chabicheka Posted March 15, 2013 #17 Posted March 15, 2013 Actually You are in the prayer section of the site, so if you don't like anything religious don't read it. Margaret I never intended to go on the prayer site, but i got this post when I click on "home", which is how I always go to this website. What am I doing wrong? How do others check the daily posts? Thanks.
SilvrT Posted March 15, 2013 Author #18 Posted March 15, 2013 I never intended to go on the prayer site, but i got this post when I click on "home", which is how I always go to this website. What am I doing wrong? How do others check the daily posts? Thanks. I always click on "New Posts". It's easy to see what forum they are in plus when you hover your mouse over the subject, you get a popup showing the first sentence or two of the thread.
Freebird Posted March 15, 2013 #19 Posted March 15, 2013 I'm not sure what you mean. If you are going to the home page and looking at the lists of posts from there, they all clearly state which forum they are in.
chabicheka Posted March 16, 2013 #20 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Okay.......got it, Don. Never noticed that before. Thanks.. Edited March 16, 2013 by chabicheka
chabicheka Posted March 16, 2013 #21 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Thanks SilverT...Don's post solved my problem, and i learned something from your reply too. Edited March 16, 2013 by chabicheka
Freebird Posted March 16, 2013 #22 Posted March 16, 2013 For anybody else who may have missed it, this is what I mean. Each entry in the list shows which forum where the post is located.
Guest Posted March 16, 2013 #23 Posted March 16, 2013 Seriously...have things gotten so bad that we cant even post on a new Pope in the inspiritational section no less, without offending someone? This falls under an historical event and not something that happens every few years. Good grief! That being said, one of the Popes who was in the running was Cardinal Scola. I can just imagine it now if he won the papacy. The headlines would have read: Things go better with Pope Scola!!!!
Ozlander Posted March 17, 2013 #24 Posted March 17, 2013 I was thinking it was about time for a black arab pope. Kind of get up to date with the way things are going.
Mike G in SC Posted March 17, 2013 #25 Posted March 17, 2013 Actually, the Pope came out and saw his shadow this morning,,, there will be 6 more weeks of Conclave. (oh,, yes I'm Catholic,,,, yes, saving up for confession.)
