Any PA riders near Wellsboro, PA. ???

Do we have any riders on this forum that live anywhere close to Wellsboro, PA., and might be willing to drive/ride over to check a bike out for me ?????

 

There is an '86 Venture Royal in Wellsboro, advertised on CL, that I have been trying very hard to get ther owner, a guy even older than me, and I think his name is Herb (not certain) to take more pictures of the bike for me. The ad on CL only shows 1 picture. Of all the 1st gen Ventures I have found around this country, this bike in Wellsboro is just what I am looking for...99.9314159 % stock/OEM, and low mileage...31k...and no chrome rack on the rear trunk box. And it is even the right color.

 

So, if there is someone close to Wellsboro, PA., that is willing to take a look at this bike for me, and shoot some pictures...and I do NOT want to have someone going out of their way to do this, then please let me know, so I can set it up.

 

I want to buy this guys bike, but...I don't want to buy it based on 1 picture, and not seeing it in person.

No, Earl is more towards SW side of the state. One of the newbies is in Sayre which is closer. Wellsboro is in the NE section of the state, about 2 - 3 hrs from here. Worst case senerio Miles, if you can't find anyone I guess I could take a road trip...

Thank you all that have answered so far, BUT...I would like to find someone closer, as I do not like to inconvenience other people. I am funny that way. I will ride 1000 miles to help someone else, but I can't ask others to do that for me. Just color me odd.

 

And a person from NY does not want to go down to that state beneath them to check out a bike. That would be...beneath them. (ha ha ha) Maybe I should just use icons like everyone else does...

 

I will continue to look for someone close. Wellsboro is really in the north/central area of that state. Slightly east of central, in the woods.

 

I will continue to call the bike owner...

miles, i would be glad to go get your pics. i live in tionesta pa and it is about 3hrs from me. i can go almost any Saturday. if you want these pics soon i will take the cage but if you can wait until the weather is more ridable if that is a word then i can take the bike. either way i would do this for you. get me the address so i can put it in my gps.

I wil let you know if I go that way anytime soon depends on the wives schedule keep me posted and let me know the address. Is anyone else been looking at the bike I saw it on cl also but after I bought mine. Send me a message if you want I go over that way all the time.Oh ya I'm the one in Sayre and my parents live over that way so let me know whats up with the bike

Miles, I really wouldn't mind at all. Perhaps Motorcycle Tom and I could spend some quality time together on a road trip, cabin fever is getting pretty intense!! I just know there are a few NE Pa members here as well. Seeing as my first wife was from PA it is not beneath my dignity to enter that state at all!! If onenut or someone else can't get to it then looks like next week some time may be a good excuse to have lunch together with Tom...
