Freebird Posted February 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 25, 2013 This poll is to gauge the preference of the members attending the International Rally. The planners are doing a great job and putting this even together and have been working hard on putting together some fun and interesting rides. A question has come up that we would like your feedback on. How many miles do most of you like the daily rides to be? I will list some choices below. I know that a lot of folks travel a good distance to get to the rally and prefer to take shorter rides and simply do more visiting with the other members. Others like to RIDE RIDE RIDE...so your input is appreciated.
Rick Haywood Posted February 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 25, 2013 I would like to ask that if you are not planning to attend the rally could you refrain form voting please. This is for the committee to determine how many rides and the lengths we need.
ragtop69gs Posted February 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 25, 2013 The 1-150 range gives a nice leisurely pace with time to stop, eat lunch and see the sights. The 200+ range is good if there's no sightseeing, but the riding is the goal.
icebrrg3rd Posted February 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 25, 2013 Ok, I put 50-100, but what I want to say is if there is something to see that would make it a 150-200 mile round trip one day, I have no issue with that, nor would a 25 mile trip not be taken because it's too short. Or several 100 mile trips in one day. If I could I'd click all of them. I'm open to a wide range of miles. Except no IronButt 1000 runs... -Andrew
dave_wells Posted February 25, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 25, 2013 Seeing the sights and catching a few pictures a good lunch and spending a day with some good friends 50 miles or 200 miles in between I like a leisurely pace and some time to soak in the sights is my preference That can still be a long days ride

Flyinfool Posted February 26, 2013 Share #8 Posted February 26, 2013 I voted 0-50. 50 is about right for my marshmallow butt. If the missus is able to come, her but is even more delicate than mine. I ride most every day in the summer, I would like to be able to do more relaxing, meeting folks and BSing.

oldgoat Posted March 1, 2013 Share #22 Posted March 1, 2013 well I should have the shadow here by then? I have not been in a group ride in like 5 years. so a little learning is in order. my sister and her husband have been there with the grand daughter and they said it was a great place to go. I am thinking I might want to be in on this one.
