DragonRider Posted February 23, 2013 #1 Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) Ken has allowed me to post the details of his 84 Venture that he is donating to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital. He has also forwarded me a couple of pictures. He is not home so these are what he has and will be taking and sending me more pictures when he returns home. He says that Squidley and Kreggerdoodle are both familiar with this bike if anyone wants to contact them about it. Please pm me if you need any additional info on this bike, and I will contact him for any questions about it. Details are below. I should be posting in the auction section by this upcoming weekend. DragonRider, I know that Ken is away for several more days, but when you get a chance to talk with him, can you please verify if the engine in his '84 Venture is a '86...or an '88 ? He states in the listing that it is an '86 engine, but on his personal page, in the description of the bike, he says the engine if from a '88 bike. I would just like clarification on that. And, am I to assume that the winner of the bike would in fact pick it up from Ken's place in Spring, Texas ? Thank you,

The engine serial number is 2LW-003136 which I believe is an 86 but someone else may be able to chime in here and verify. I'll go back on my personal page and check what I put down, which was 3 years ago. Yes, the winner can pick it up here, and I'll even go to the IAH airport and give him/her a ride here. Ken

There are no bids yet!! I will post here in the Watering Hole when it is up and open. Haven't decided how long it will run yet, please be patient. There are a few details that have to be worked out yet.:no-no-no: I read in he other thread that Miles already bid $500. I'll see that $500 and raise it another $100...
Miles Posted February 24, 2013 #8 Posted February 24, 2013 DragonRider, I thought this was the case, that the auction had not really begun yet. Thought...if the auction were to END on April 11th...that means that whomever wins the auction for this bike can fly to Houston, be picked up by Ken, and then ride the bike to the SE Texas MD in Waller, TX. on the 13th. Personally, I think it would be FUN to fly into Houton, pick the bike up, and then ride to Waller, TX. and meet all those longhorns that live in the southest corner of that big'ol state...and then ride home. Yeah....go for it.
bongobobny Posted February 24, 2013 #9 Posted February 24, 2013 Hey Lewis, Miles and I are just stirring it up to give it a kick start...
